The Seaton Sonics and Fulton Maroons raised $1,569 for the Canadian Cancer Society in a special Block Out Cancer senior girls volleyball exhibition Tuesday night at Seaton.

The Maroons won the charity match 3-1 with both teams wearing pink and tending to the concession all night.

Said Seaton coach Troy Lorenson: “This night was all about the athletes doing something outside of themselves. Despite being great rivals, tonight the girls were on one team fighting for a great cause. We had total commitment from both teams, including their parents and fans, and that made the night special indeed. I am very proud of this volleyball community.”
