Vernon’s Tralee Mazu, head coach, contributes faith and team confidence to the All-Stars’ success in Manitoba.

“All the girls really stepped it up against some very strong teams,” said Mazu.

Karli Mazu and Emily Ferguson scored for the Okanagan, who got a great showing from goalie Kirsten Wiltshire.

The TORL All-Stars lost 8-3 to the Magic in their opener, getting goals from Mazu, Emily Ferguson and Rylee English. Assists came from Gabby Maduck, Summer Jespersen and Paige Castle.

The All-Stars then tied the Bonvital Angels 5-5 getting two goals each from Delanie Thorlakson and Maduck and a single from Ferguson. Mazu had two assists.

Rylee English provided 2+1 as the All-Stars toppled the Eastman Flames 7-4. Lisa Weatherill, Lindsay MacLeod, Mazu, Ferguson and Thorlakson completed the offence.

The Okanagan girls then tied the Fusion Outaouais of Quebec 4-4 with Mazu counting 2+1, and singles going to English and Maduck. Thorlakson earned two assists.
