Vernon Vipers derail Express 7-5

After suffering back-to-back shutout losses, the Vernon Vipers found their offence in a 7-5 BCHL win over the Coquitlam Express Sunday afternoon at the Poirier Sports and Leisure Centre.
Adam Tambellini exploded for three goals and three assists, while linemate Pearce Eviston supplied 3+1 for the Vipers, who bowed 2-0 to the Alberni Bulldogs Saturday night in Port Alberni. Tambelllini is second in league scoring with 15-15-30, one point back of former Viper Marcus Basara, of the West Kelowna Warriors.
Aaron Hadley chipped in with 1+2 and Jedd Soleway pocketed three assists as the Vipers improved to 8-9-0-6, good for fifth place in the Interior Division, one point back of the Trail Smoke Eaters.
Philip Zielonka, with 1+3, John Siemer, Brandon Morley, Mitchell Fyffe and Alex Kerfoot countered for Coquitlam, who dipped to 11-11-1-0, fourth in the Mainland Division.
