Winnipeg jazz ensemble ready to enthrall Vernon audience

A seven-piece jazz collective hailing from Winnipeg is set to descend on Vernon.

Local Losers Underground invites people to a concert at Blue Parrot Oasis (6562 Longacre Drive) featuring Apollo Suns, whose sound blends jazz, rock and psychedelic music with the dance floor in mind.

Hailing from the heart of the prairies, the talented ensemble is set to captivate audiences with its electrifying performances on May 19.

Renowned for its dynamic fusion of genres and infectious energy, Apollo Suns promises an unforgettable evening of live entertainment.

Founded by Ed Durocher, the band has garnered widespread acclaim and a dedicated following throughout Canada.

Best known for their high-octane live shows, Apollo Suns have captivated audiences from the Winnipeg Jazz Festival, Salmon Arm Roots and Blues, Kispiox Valley Music Festival, Vermont Jazz Fest and the Calgary Stampede.

Doors to the Blue Parrot Oasis open at 6 p.m. and Apollo Suns will begin their musical exhibition soon after.

Formed in 2022, Local Losers Underground is a Vernon-based organization that focuses on growing the local arts scene and supporting artists in sharing their music with the Okanagan.
