Then event, which is hosted by Community Futures, runs from 1 to 4 p.m.

Created for early stage entrepreneurs and career-changers, the workshop supplies participants with the tools needed to accelerate their business to the next stage.

“At the session, we will be sharing a bit about what Accelerate Okanagan does, and provide some insight into potential funding routes for businesses growing here in the Okanagan,” said Alex Reid, Accelerate Okanagan. community manager.

Fraser Campbell, Accelerate Okanagan’s entrepreneur in residence, will discuss the business model process.

Entrepreneurs will walk away with information on the support and funding opportunities available, as well as the tools and resources to build out a business model.

“The Vernon startup community is a growing and vibrant community,” said Kazia Mullin, business services advisor at Community Futures.

“We are very excited for this opportunity to partner with Accelerate Okanagan on a workshop that is sure to get a lot of our entrepreneurs reinventing their ideas.”
