Agreement improves B.C. worker mobility

Premier Christy Clark inks deal in principle with Newfoundland counterpart

An agreement in principle has been signed to enhance workforce co-operation and mobility of skilled workers between B.C. and Newfoundland.

“Removing barriers to labour mobility will play a key part in efforts to make it easier for Canadians to find good, well-paying jobs while supporting the successful economies of both provinces,” said Christy Clark, B.C.’s premier.

“Skilled workers get access to more job opportunities while employers gain a wider selection of candidates.”
