Andre’s Electronic Experts celebrates its 40th anniversary with 20 years of serving Vernon.
The family-owned business was started in 1976 by Andre Blanleil Sr., as a TV and microwave repair shop, in Kelowna, and is now owned by Andre Blanleil Jr. with more than 20 locations throughout the Interior of B.C.
Andre’s in Vernon has gone through some major changes recently. It has moved within the same Andre’s-owned complex on 48th Avenue to expand its showroom and add a full selection of appliances with brands like LG, Samsung, Whirlpool, Kitchenaid and Maytag.
“Vernon now carries a full line of appliances, with the biggest selection of all of our stores,” said Blanleil.
The store has gone from 6,000 to 9,000-square-feet, adding a bright, spacious feel to complement the displays.
The main reason for the expansion is a tenant closed, allowing Andre’s to take over that space and carry more appliances.
Blanleil says Andre’s Electronic Experts pride itself on low prices because it’s a member of the biggest buying group in Canada for electronics and appliances.
There is also a focus on excellent customer service.
“We have great long-term employees in Vernon. Our manager Gary Lawson has been with us for more than 20 years,” said Blanleil.
“The key part of our business is our people.”
