Watkin Motors Ford will host the Drive 4UR School program Saturday at Harwood Elementary

Vernon residents can climb into a Ford and support a local school.

Watkin Motors Ford will host the Drive 4UR School program Saturday at Harwood Elementary from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the goal is to raise up to $6,000 for the school.

“We know funding for community programs is hard to come by, and we want to do our part to help make sure these programs remain available,” said Nancy Marshall, with Watkin Motors.

“We’re excited to raise money for Harwood Elementary.”

For every person who takes the wheel and test drives an eligible Ford vehicle at Harwood Elementary Saturday, Ford will donate $20 to Harwood Elementary. The funds will go towards student agendas, field trips, swimming lessons and classroom supplies.

Participants must be 18 or older and have a valid driver’s license. There is a limit of one test drive per household. All test drives will last about five to seven minutes.
