A North Okanagan business wants to bring people out to the farm.

The BX Press Cidery is hosting a special event Friday at 5:30 p.m. and it includes a three-course farm-to-table dinner catered by Basketcase Picnics and horse-drawn wagon rides.

“It will be our only event of the summer,” said Melissa Dobernigg, who owns the cidery with her husband Dave.

Entertainment will be provided by the Dharma Dolls.

An ongoing goal of the Dobernigg family is to raise public awareness about agriculture and its impact locally.

The BX Press Cidery is a third generation orchard growing apples and crafting artisan ciders.

The deadline for tickets is Tuesday and they are limited to 100 people. They are $75 each and available at the Bean Scene, the BX Press Cidery or by calling 250-503-2163.
