Cultural plan put before Greater Vernon chamber members

Culture will be on the agenda for Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce members.

The chamber hosts its quarterly membership meeting Thursday, July 28 at the Schubert Centre and the guest speaker is Tannis Nelson, community services manager with the Regional District North Okanagan.

“Learn more about the recently adopted regional cultural plan, how it will be implemented, what it might mean for our local economy and the role businesses can play in harnessing the opportunities,” states a chamber release.

The cultural plan covers a variety of issues, including a process that could possibly lead to a new public art gallery and museum.

Registration, breakfast and networking is at 7:30 a.m., followed by the business meeting, including chamber committee updates, local government updates and the guest speaker.

The cost to attend is $10 plus taxes for chamber members and $25 plus taxes for non-members.
