Get ready to learn about Vernon’s economy and plans for the future.
The Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual general meeting and economic update Oct. 4 at the Village Green Hotel.
The guest speaker will be Kevin Poole, the City of Vernon’s economic development manager.
“Learn about Vernon`s building boom and whether that growth is going to continue or stagnate,” said Dan Rogers, chamber general manager.
As for the 2016 chamber AGM, meet the nominees for the chamber board, mark your ballot in the election and review the audited financial statements.
Registration is at 11:15 a.m., with the AGM at 11:30 a.m. and the lunch and speaker at noon.
The fee to attend is $40 plus tax for non-members and $25 plus tax for cham sber members. There is no cost if you only plan to attend the AGM but you still must register.
