When you step into Vernon’s Easthill Physiotherapy and Acupuncture Clinic, you may think you have wandered into the local art gallery by mistake.
Clinic owner and physiotherapist Judy Fullerton is partnering with local artist Angelika Jaeger (known as A.J.) to showcase her art in the clinic’s halls and treatment rooms.
“I had seen A.J.’s work and I kept thinking about how fantastic her pieces would look in our clinic,” said Fullerton.
“We discussed the idea and we both loved it so we made it happen.”
The two worked together to select artwork that suited the character and space of the building.
“The response has been overwhelmingly positive,” said Fullerton.
“Our clients love the warm energy that the artwork brings to their treatment rooms and everyone comments on how spectacular and creative her work is. It has been an amazing addition to the clinic.”
The display features a collection of mixed media acrylic pieces.
“I felt that my work meshed well with Judy’s whole body approach to treatment,” said Jaeger.
“Part of her approach is purely physical but part also feeds the soul. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to share my work in such a welcoming and positive setting.”
Jaeger’s art will be on display at Easthill indefinitely.
“Those interested in viewing the artwork are welcome to drop by or may call to inquire about the best time to visit when the treatment rooms are unoccupied,” said Fullerton.
