Private coaching assists local business leaders

Romana Frey launched a private coaching practice after moving back to Vernon last fall.

Romana Frey is wanting to support the North Okanagan’s business leaders.

Frey launched a private coaching practice after moving back to Vernon last fall.

She provides information to individuals with personal, professional or mental health issues.

“Several clients have suggested that I form a support group where entrepreneurs can meet in a safe, confidential space to share their experiences and their stories,” she said.

About five years ago, Frey began providing business coaching services to small business owners and entrepreneurs, and to coach career transition.

Frey says clients hired her to provide assistance with specific business or career issues.

“However, once we started to talk, they often broke down in tears,” she said.

“They disclosed deeply personal issues and often mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders and personality disorders.

“Because of my lived experience, I was able to work with them at a deeper level than other coaches,  providing business information as well as support, education and tools to assist them to achieve personal and professional success.”
