RBC Wealth Management supports Discovery Room

This year, RBC donated $1000 to the Okanagan Science Centre.

RBC Wealth Management Dominion Securities has donated $1000 to the Okanagan Science Centre to sponsor their Discovery Room.

The Discovery Room is set up to be a safe and engaging place for the youngest visitors the Science Centre, age 2 through Kindergarten, to explore scientific activities puzzles.

Last year, RBC’s sponsorship of the Discovery Room led to the design and creation of a new Busy Board, where young children can interact with a range of objects such as wheels, locks, doors, and an old-style typewriter. The Science Centre is currently deciding what to do with this year’s sponsorship.

“We love having a room, which is designed to be a safe spot for young children to play, explore, and discover,” said Jim Swingle, Executive Director of the Okanagan Science Centre. “We designed the Discovery Room with the idea that sometimes children want to explore on their own, and sometimes children and parents want fun activities they can do together.”

The Okanagan Science Centre is located at 2704 BC-6 in Vernon.
