VSS student entrepreneurs earn award

Vernon’s Zack Goldsmith and Kory Kury honoured at Junior Achievement of B.C.’s Top Student Entrepreneur Awards recently in Vancouver.

Vernon’s Zack Goldsmith and Kory Kury were among nearly 100 students to be honoured at Junior Achievement of B.C.’s Top Student Entrepreneur Awards recently in Vancouver.

The Vernon Secondary School students were winners of the JA Titan Business Game, an online competition in spring.

The ceremony was held at SFU’s Beedie School of Business in downtown Vancouver.

Naomi Yamamoto, Minister of State for Small Business, congratulated the award winners and spoke briefly about the importance of small businesses in B.C. and how Junior Achievement programs spread entrepreneurial spirit and inspire youth to consider careers in business.
