North Okanagan residents are encouraged to give the gift of life this Christmas.
St. John Ambulance, a non-profit agency, believes a gift alternative this holiday season is first aid kits and first aid training.
“They say that the giver cares about your safety and well-being, and they provide the peace of mind of knowing you’ve got the supplies and knowledge to handle a crisis,” said Jeff Nelson, branch manager.
“Last but not least, they give you that warm, fuzzy feeling that comes from supporting an important local non-profit agency that’s serving your community.”
Got a serious pet-lover on your list? St. John Ambulance has pet first aid kits that come with mini pet first aid manuals.
They’ve got your boat-fanatics covered with marine first aid kits, and exercise enthusiasts can receive the sport first aid kit.
“I, personally, enjoy the idea of gift certificates for CPR courses,” Nelson said.
