Angels donate clothes

Annual event is the culmination of 12 months of community fundraising efforts by Invis-Mortgage Intelligence

Hundreds of volunteers will hit the streets to distribute winter kits to homeless shelters across Canada, including in Vernon.

The annual Angels in the Night homeless shelter project takes place Tuesday as volunteers from Invis-Mortgage Intelligence provide new winter clothing and supplies to those in need.

This annual event is the culmination of 12 months of community fundraising efforts by Invis-Mortgage Intelligence in support of homeless shelters in the community. Volunteers work directly with shelters to find out what they need most, purchase new items and distribute them on a single night.

The top five items requested by the shelters this year are: hats, gloves, basic toiletries, personal items such as underwear and socks, and bedding.
