The Armstrong Food Initiative Society is starting up the produce sharing program again.
The program will run every Monday until Oct. 13 at the community garden behind the red caboose.
“Anyone who would like to donate any extra produce they have is invited to bring it to the garden between 9 and 10 a.m. on Mondays,” said Jill de la Salle, with the society.
Anyone who does not have access to fresh produce can pick it up Mondays from 10 a.m. until noon.
“The society started this program simply to reduce local food waste by linking the growers who might have extra produce with the consumers who might need it,” said de la Salle.
