Two local non-profits are teaming up for a night of summer fun.
The Kindale Developmental Association and Upper Room Mission are presenting a fundraising event called Beach Blankets and Bellini’s hosted at Bourbon Street Bar and Grill in the Prestige Hotel July 5.
“We are proud to sponsor this new event and working with Kindale is always a pleasure,” said Lisa Grant, Prestige Hotel sales and convention manager.
A beach party food extravaganza will be put on by chef Inna Turchin, which will include a build your own burger table and a complementary bellini for each guest.
The Shawn Lightfoot Band are donating their time for the entertainment. All funds raised during the event will be spilt between the two nonprofit groups.
“At Kindale, we are very proud of the many partnerships that we are involved with and partnering with Upper Room Mission promised to be another great example of working together to help people in our community,” said B Elliot, executive director of Kindale.
The funds raised for Kindale at the party will go towards their 70 Grand for New Kindale Van fundraising campaign.
The Upper Room Mission’s portion of the funds raised will go towards updating their heating system.
“We are very excited to be working with Kindale on a new and fun event,” said Lisa Anderson, fundraising director of Upper Room Mission.
This will be the first time that we have collaborated with another non-profit group, hopefully it will be the first of many more to come.”
Tickets are $50 and are available by contacting Cindy at Kindale or Lisa at the Upper Room Mission.
