A sunburned face and waterlogged fingers and toes were a small price to pay for Deb White.

White and four other brokers from White House Mortgages braved the icy waters of a dunk tank for five hours Wednesday, raising $1,500 for the North Okanagan Hospice Society.

“The community gives so much to us. It’s our way to give back to the community,” said White.

“People were giving $100 and only throwing two balls, or donating $50 so they could walk up and push the button.”

The fundraiser was part of White House Mortgages’ 7th annual Summer BBQ and Open House.
