The Sun Valley Cruise-In is attracting prestigious show cars.

This Friday and Saturday, show cars from across western Canada will be descending upon both Vernon’s downtown and Polson Park for a weekend of automotive bliss.

“Pre-registrations have surpassed all expectations due to the excitement for the return of the popular car show, and over 400 cars are expected to attend,” said Andy Freeland with the Cruise-In.

Hot Rods, customs, antiques, old trucks, and both classic and modern muscle cars will be showing off their stuff starting on Friday night on 30th Avenue, from 4 to 9 p.m.

The main draw will be the daytime show in Polson Park Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  where vehicles are coming from as far as Vancouver Island to Saskatchewan.

Lots of vendors will be present to cater to the hungry crowd.

“The show will run rain or shine, so come on out and bring the family down. As usual, no pets within Polson Park, and please leave the bikes outside of the car area,” said Freeland.
