Vicki Proulx is going from family fun to family services.

The young Vernon woman is joining the North Okanagan Youth and Family Services Society as the new fund development and communications coordinator.

Proulx has been the executive director of the Vernon Winter Carnival Society, a job she is maintaining.

“Now I get to stretch my wings and try something a little different,” Proulx said. “Love our community and all the amazing organizations we have here.”

The newly created position will allow NOYFSS to continue to expand and promote programs within the agency as well as ensure community supporters and partners are receiving the recognition they deserve.

Proulx has been working with non-profits in the Vernon area for more than 10 years, specializing in community outreach and engagement. Her experience in media, event planning and communications are a welcome resource to the NOYFSS team.

“We are so pleased to have Vicki join our team,” said Dean Francks, executive director of NOYFSS. “We look forward to having someone so skilled and connected with the community helping us raise funds for non-funded skill building and educational groups. Vicki’s energy will also be a great asset in helping us maintain our positive agency profile and letting the community know about all of the programs and services offered through NOYFSS.”
