A major fundraiser has received a boost.

Lake City Casino has completed its one-year pledge to raise $10,000 for the North Okanagan Neurological Association`s Build The Clubhouse Project.

“The dedication of NONA to children and youth with special needs, their families in Vernon and throughout the North Okanagan is amazing. The new facility will allow them to offer greater assistance and make a substantial difference in the lives of their clients,” said Ryan Doherty, Lake City Casino Vernon general manager.

While $10,000 was the goal, $12,000 was raised.

“Lake City Casino has helped to create a legacy where children and youth learn skills to last a lifetime,” said Linda Graves, NONA president.

The Build the Clubhouse Project was launched to build a new $1.6 million facility to provide services for children and youth with a variety of special needs. To learn more about NONA and follow the campaign’s progress, go to www.non-cdc.com
