Falkland Elementary School students are enjoying the most important meal of the day before hitting the books.
The school has received $1,025 from the Okanagan Boys and Girls Club for its breakfast program.
“We are grateful for the Boys and Girls Club’s generous support”, said principal Doug Cumming.
“Our school’s secretary, Dorry Tessel, contacted the club after we had learned that the budget for the breakfast program had been reduced and was bringing the continuation of the program in jeopardy.”
Jack Welpley, with the Boys and Girls Club, was able to secure the funding through the Newman Foundation.
The money will allow the school to continue to provide healthy breakfasts for all students during school days.
