Club offers care

Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs are preparing to support families as best they can if the teachers’ strike continues

Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs are preparing to support kids and families as best they can if the teachers’ strike continues into September.

A plan has been developed to meet the needs of parents and their kids for the duration of job action.

“The hours of operation of Boys and Girls Clubs programs will be extended for school age children and full-day programs will be offered,” said Diane Entwistle, chief executive officer.

“The ability to provide extended and increased programs will depend on staffing and program/facility capacity.”

The Okanagan Boys and Girls Club has facilities in Vernon, Armstrong and Lake Country. For more information, contact 250-762-3914.
