Clues key to Christmas contest

The Armstrong-Spallumcheen Chamber of Commerce wants residents to search for their Christmas spirit.

The Armstrong-Spallumcheen Chamber of Commerce wants residents to search for their Christmas spirit.

In the spirit of the season, the chamber is planning a fun contest where 16 businesses have special Frozen Holiday Wishes.

Discover those wishes, and you can win great prizes.

“Using the first clue and a special Holiday Wishes bag provided at the visitor centre, follow the trail, solve the clues and pick up the tokens from all 16 participating businesses,” said Patti Noonan, executive director of the chamber.

Once you have collected all 16 tokens, return to the visitor centre for your final instructions.

The contest runs Nov. 27 to Dec. 18.

All entry forms must be received by Dec. 18 at 4 p.m. Winners of the prize packages will be chosen by a draw, and winners will be notified on Dec. 19.

Sixteen lucky people will win either a gift certificate or product worth $25 or more provided by local businesses.

For an additional chance to win, take a picture of yourself with any ‘Olaf’ (the snowman from the movie Frozen) you find in the community and post it on the Armstrong-Spallumcheen Chamber of Commerce Facebook page, Instagram or Twitter (#holidaywishes).

Participating businesses include Armstrong Dollar Dollar Store, Askew’s Foods; Chocoliro Finest Chocolate; Final Touch; Kindale Thrift Store; Margarieta’s Place; McDonald’s Armstrong; Sea Stars Kids Boutique; Shepherd’s Home Hardware; Shepherd’s Outdoor Living Centre; Sheryl Dyck Fitness; Tanuki Sushi House; Telus/Andre’s; The Brown Derby Café; The Leaf and Bean; Your Dollar Store with More.
