Coldstream is getting in the Christmas spirit today.

All residents are invited to come celebrate the ninth annual Community Christmas Light Up at Coldstream Christian Church at 6 p.m.

Once there you can huddle around the bonfire, decorate cookies, play some hockey with the Vernon Vipers, meet the Queen Silver Star candidates, take in the sounds of music from the Kidston Elementary choir and local artist Morgan Hilliss, enjoy some free hot dogs, check out a live nativity and more.

The event is free but donations to the Salvation Army food bank are encouraged.

The church is located on Kalamalka Road across from the Coldstream municipal office.
