Lumby food drive still going tonight, Lavington drive rescheduled to Tuesday

Due to a large structure fire in Lumby, Lavington Fire Rescue was unable to have the Food Drive in Lavington Tuesday night. Therefore the department has rescheduled the food drive for Tuesday, Oct. 10.

Meanwhile the Lumby’s emergency services food drive will continue as planned tonight.

Emergency services personnell will be going door-to-door gathering non-perishable items and cash donations for the Lumby Food Bank.

Anyone wishing to volunteer their time to help sort and shelve items collected should meet at 6:15 p.m. tonight by the Lumby Emporium at 1879 Vernon St.
