Davison Orchards pays tribute to local customers

Davison Orchards loves visitors, but the Vernon attraction also has a soft spot for local residents.

The Davison Family is hosting a two-day event entitled  We Love our Locals, a weekend to show appreciation to its regular customers and thank them for buying local and inviting their visiting friends and relatives to the farm over the summer months.

The orchard tours will be free Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“This year, we celebrate our 27th year of opening our doors to the community and it really is the strong local support that has helped us grow our business to what it is today.” said Tamra Davison of Davison Orchards.

Customers are encouraged to see what’s new and enjoy the apple blossoms.

Teachers will be honoured at the orchards Sunday for their contributions to families and community.

Teachers just need to come up between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., show their identification and receive a gift to take home.

“We are proud to be part of this community, growing  fruit and vegetables for 78 years and selling direct to you for 27 years,” said Davison.

“We want to thank Vernon for helping us get here.”

Davison Orchards is open daily 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
