The City of Vernon and the Regional District of North Okanagan are now accepting nominations for Sustainability Awards and Environmental Leadership Awards.
“Volunteers, business owners and organizations who support sustainability make the community a better place to live,” said Tanya Laing Gahr, city communications officer.
“The Sustainability Awards and Environmental Leadership Awards help recognize these community members for their hard work and dedication. Nominations are open to individuals, groups or organizations that contribute to the community.”

RDNO Environmental Leadership Awards categories (nomination deadline May 1):
Youth Environmental Leadership

Forms and detailed descriptions of each category are available at both the City of Vernon and RDNO office or online.
Winners will be celebrated during Canadian Environment Week, June 4 to 10.
