Celebrating the arrival of spring has blossomed into support for a non-profit organization.
Kindale, which provides services to developmentally challenged individuals, raised $14,500 during its recent Spring Fiesta.
“The fourth year for the annual event was very close to being sold out,” said Cindy Masters, development officer.
“We are very happy about the great comments heard from guests about how much fun everyone had – our goal was to put the fun into fundraising and we did just that.”
The funds will enhance recreational opportunities, skills training, community inclusion and housing options for more than 100 individuals with disabilities.
“Money raised at our events help people that live right here in our community,” said Masters.
The event included dance demonstrations from Cheek to Cheek, a silent auction, a live auction and music by the Goods.
“There was something for just about everyone,” said Masters.
