Food banks seeking funds

Community support in Vernon and Enderby is still being sought by the Salvation Army.

The agency is attempting to raise $461,000 in Vernon to maintain the food bank and other programs.

“Donations can be received at the Talkin Donkey Coffee House during its business hours, or delivered to the food bank Dec. 30,” said David MacBain, community ministries director.

“Financial donations can also be made anytime online at www.vernonbcfoodbank.com or mailed by Dec. 31 to 3303 32nd Ave., Vernon, V1T 2M7.”

For financial donations to the Salvation Army’s Enderby food bank donors, can go to http://my.salvationarmy.ca/enderby.

Cheques marked Enderby food bank can be mailed to 3303 32nd Ave., Vernon, B.C., V1T 2M7 by Dec. 31.
