A recreational corridor is planned from Coldstream to Kelowna.

The festive season is providing a boost to a new recreation corridor.

The Okanagan Rail Trail Initiative is making personalized gift certificates available as Christmas gifts.

“We all have friends and family who would happy to receive this gift,” said Laurie Postill Coldstream with the ORTI.

“You can gift a metre, a part of a metre, or many metres through a personalized gift certificate.”

The recreational corridor will run from Coldstream to Kelowna.

“I know many people that would be thrilled to received this legacy gift, in their name,” said Heather Stewart, with ORTI.

“At this time of year, many will also appreciate the opportunity of a tax receipt for any donation over $25. It’s the gift that keeps on giving.”

Gift certificates are available online with donations to the rail trail at www.okanaganrailtrail.ca

Donations can also be made at the Community Foundation of North Okanagan at 250-542-8655.
