The Okanagan Rhythmic Gymnastics Association hosts the Interior Championships/Queen of Hearts Invitationa

Some of Western Canada’s top rhythmic gymnasts are coming to town.

On Saturday and Sunday, the Okanagan Rhythmic Gymnastics Association will host the Interior Championships/Queen of Hearts Invitational at the Vernon Recreation Complex.

“This is an annual event showcasing the remarkable talent of more than 100 Western Canadian athletes,” said Lori Moger, with the association.

“The Queen of Hearts draws nationally ranked gymnasts, including some home-grown, and B.C. athletes ages six to 26.”

The competition runs Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and  entry is by donation.

“The not to be missed gala runs Sunday  from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., showcasing the stand-out talent from the weekend,” said Moger.
