Some helping hands are needed for a Halloween tradition.

O’Keefe Ranch is currently seeking volunteers for the fourth annual Field of Screams haunted corn maze in October.

“The ranch is seeking assistance and support in creating more memorable experiences for our community this year,” said Glen Taylor, general manager.

“Everything from key event designs, construction, set decor, costumes, safety plans and event security will need to be well planned and initiated early on — the earlier, the better.

Field of Screams raises funds towards the operating costs at the historic site.

“Not only does it keep us afloat financially, but it’s become a family event not to be missed in the Okanagan,” said Taylor.

“It’s an integral part of our community. It gives young people a safe place to be and it’s a unique event that combines our history and culture with young creative artists.”

The Field of Screams will run an extended schedule starting Oct. 13.
