Home Depot builds up funding for kids

Company and customers raised $6,142 for the local Boys and Girls Club

There’s some big smiles at the Vernon Boys and Girls Club.

The Home Depot Canada Foundation and Home Depot Vernon have donated $6,142 to the Boys and Girls Club for community initiatives.

“What makes this community contribution most meaningful is that it came from the generous donations of customers who purchased a paper hammer for $2 as part of the Buy a Hammer, Build Our Community campaign, “said Peg Hunter, foundation chairperson.

This grant complements funds already provided to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada through the Home Depot Canada Foundation’s national partnership.
