Essie’s Place is providing another opportunity for input for its quality of life research project.

The input is part of a project focused on learning about the quality of life of parents and siblings of LGBTQ2SI+ children.

The purpose is to learn how to better support families in the Shuswap.

On Wednesday, May 24, a Meet & Greet, one of a series in the Shuswap, is being held at 3 p.m. at the Night Café on Lakeshore Drive in Salmon Arm. Snacks and non-alcoholic drinks provided.

Parents and/or siblings are welcome to drop in, learn more about the project and have a chance to complete a survey on site.

Essie’s Place describes itself as a society for people with diverse genders and sexualities.

“We work to improve the quality of life and socio-economic conditions of LGBTQ2SI+ people and their families in the Shuswap Region.”
