Kids share their Christmas spirit

North Okanagan schools celebrate the season with concerts

School stages all around the North Okanagan are being filled with the sounds of the season, and some cute, creative and talented kids!

Christmas concerts are in full swing, with many having taken place already as schools wrap up for their final week of 2018 before a two-week break.

Over at BX Elementary, virtually every child, from Kindergarten all the way up to Grade 7, took part in three special performances last week.

While every concert is special, the event at BX was bittersweet. The school is saying goodbye to long-time music teacher Mrs. Coreen Smith.

Smith is the one who has orchestrated and organized the Christmas concerts at the school for more than 20 years. Prior to that she even put on a couple concerts as the music teacher at Charles Bloom in Lumby.
