Charla Mulder is a Kindale Hero.
Raising a grand total of $1,668.25 in pledges for the annual Kindale Walk-A-Thon, Mulder has been presented with the Kindale Hero Award.
Money raised through the walkathon is used by Kindale Developmental Association to enrich programs and services to persons with developmental and other disabilities throughout the North Okanagan.
“Kindale is grateful to Charla for her outstanding contribution,” said Cindy Masters, Kindale development officer.
Several walkers joined her for the one-kilometre or five-kilometre walk-about town after enjoying shopping from the various Community Yard Sale tables that were set up in the Armstrong Pharmacy parking lot, across from Askews.
Back from the walk, the festivities continued with Bounce Hire Bounce N Play, face painting and the popular barbecue. New this year the Cam Jammers Car Club was on hand with some spectacular vehicles on display.
“One busy parking lot and a fun day,” said Masters.
