Lavington May Day, an annual tradition in the community, was full of delight Thursday.

This year marked the 69th May Day, which took place at a new venue - Lavington Elementary School this year.

Although put on by Lavington Elementary students, the event is a community-wide celebration that draws spectators from Coldstream, Vernon, Lumby and beyond to take in the entertainment.

The festivities included a may pole dance, May Day royalty, jesters, bicycle rodeo, music and more.
