Liberals discuss affordable housing

Taking part will be Annette Sharkey, with the Social Planning Council, and Buffy Baumbrough, a former Vernon city councillor

Vernon residents are being asked to provide input on affordable housing.

The Okanagan-Shuswap Liberals will host a discussion on affordable housing Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Vernon library branch.

“The Liberal Party of Canada in B.C. is preparing a white paper on affordable housing for discussion at its policy conference in January,” said Nola Dibski, with the local Liberals.

“All ideas generated by participants will be forwarded to the policy committee to help in the development of the white paper.”

Taking part will be Annette Sharkey, with the Social Planning Council, and Buffy Baumbrough, a former Vernon city councillor.
