The Light A Bulb campaign at Vernon Jubilee Hospital has reached its $200,000 goal to purchase medical equipment.

“We wish to thank our generous community for donations supporting Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation this holiday season,” said Gloria Morgan, Light A Bulb co-chairperson.

The money will go towards two post-anaesthetic recovery monitors and an ENT navigation system for the surgical unit.

“Having successfully reaching our $7 million Building a Tower of Care Campaign goal early last fall, we wondered if people would recognize the continuing needs for health in the North Okanagan”, said Kevin Arbuckle, Light A Bulb co-chairperson.

“With so many demands throughout the province, funding for our health care system can only go so far. If we want the best medical equipment locally, those of us who can, must help out financially.”
