The North Okanagan-Shuswap School District has received $5,269 from the B.C. Liquor Store’s Support Dry Grad campaign.

“Graduating high school is a major milestone, one that deserves to be celebrated,” said Shuswap MLA George Abbott.

“But when youth mix alcohol with their celebrations, too often there can be tragic consequences.”

The campaign is part of the LDB’s corporate social responsibility program to promote the responsible use of beverage alcohol.

That includes the prevention of underage drinking and promotion of zero consumption for minors.
