North Okanagan Livestock Association and Ministry of Agriculture hosts seminar Wednesday at Vernon Lodge

North Okanagan ranchers are focusing on improving profitability and competitiveness.

The North Okanagan Livestock Association and the Ministry of Agriculture will hold a seminar Wednesday and the guest speaker will be Dr. Kee Jim.

“He has a sincere commitment to seeing the Canadian livestock industry do well,” said Lee Hesketh, with NOLA.

“His objective is helping cattle feeders be as efficient and profitable as possible.”

Jim manages a cow/calf and purebred hereford cattle operation in Okotoks, Alta. and he is a founding partner of Feedlot Health Management Services.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone interested in the future of the livestock industry,” said Lee.

“There is no admission and you do not need to be a member of the North Okanagan Livestock Association.”

The seminar runs Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Best Western Plus Vernon Lodge.
