A local Vernon farmer is getting into the Halloween spirit early, with a pumpkin patch.
Eric Feehely of Silverstar Veggies is hosting a U-Pick pumpkin patch from Saturday, Oct. 5 to Sunday, Oct. 6.
"We have been farming vegetables at Silverstar Veggies for four years now," he said. "This is our first pumpkin patch and we are organizing a fun weekend to celebrate the season,"
Kiki the Eco Elf will be at the farm from 1- 4 p.m. on Saturday, while Evan the Juggler will be there on Sunday, from 11 a.m to 2 p.m.
"This fun event is free to attend, with pumpkins of all shapes and sizes for sale, as well as veggies and other farm produce," Feehely added.
The patch will be open on Oct. 5 and 6, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at 6311 Silverstar Road.
