Jack Whelpley, the long-time area director in the North Okanagan, is retiring on Friday, Aug. 28, after more than 20 years of service to the North Okanagan.

“Jack has been instrumental in developing our programs and services in the north, first with Armstrong-Spallumcheen Community Services, and then with Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs,” said the boys and girls club in a release.

“Jack has always had a passion for helping people, and has been an integral part of the network of non-profit organizations in the North Okanagan.”
