McHappy Day spreads smiles

The funds will be donated to the local Boys and Girls Club’s Camp Arrowflight and Ronald McDonald House

McDonald’s is putting smiles on the faces of children across B.C. and at home.

This year marks the 20th McHappy Day, where $1 from the sale of every Big Mac, Happy Meal and Hot McCafe beverage sold on Wednesday will support kids.

This year, the funds will be donated to the local Boys and Girls Club’s Camp Arrowflight and the new Ronald McDonald House in B.C.

“It is a McHappy Day tradition for civic and community leaders to join us in our restaurants to celebrate with our customers,” said Natasha Sellers, with the Vernon/Armstrong McDonald’s restaurants.

“We have some local business owners, members from the Vernon Fire Department, city council members and people from the radio stations, Morning Star, Kindale and the chamber of commerce, to name some of them.”

For those who can’t get away from the office for lunch Wednesday, McDonald’s is offering free delivery to any local business for orders of more than $30 between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Orders can be called in to 250-545-6337, preferably by Tuesday to ensure a timely delivery.
