Miller earns the Realtors Care Award

Don Miller has played an integral role in many of the Silver Star Rotary Club’s fundraising efforts

Don Miller has received the 2014 Realtors Care Award.

Recognized for his long-term commitment to the community, Don Miller is the 2014 recipient of the Realtors Care Award for the North Okanagan zone of the Okanagan Mainline Real Estate Board.

Miller, with Century 21 Executives Realty, has played an integral role in many of the Silver Star Rotary Club’s  fundraising efforts and community events, assisted with Century 21 garage sales to raise funds for Easter Seals and local children needing medical assistance and equipment, and participated in pancake breakfasts and hot dog lunches to feed the homeless.

Always involved in the annual Realtors Food Drive, Miller also regularly organizes his own initiatives to raise food for the local food bank.  He can be seen at Vipers hockey game selling 50/50 tickets for charitable organizations.

“Don is a very worthy recipient of this award, and is being recognized by his peers and acknowledged by residents of the community for his outstanding and long-term contributions to the quality of life in the Vernon area,” said Elspeth Manning, of OMREB’s north zone executive committee.

“Realtors like Don help to promote public awareness that we are committed and actively involved in making a difference in the communities where we live and work.”
