Vernon Search and Rescue will benefit from a fundraising movie night Thursday at the Vernon Towne Cinema put on by the Lumby Mabel Lake Snowmobile Association.

With the snowmobile season soon to be in full throttle, local riders are invited to help make some tracks for a vital group.

The Lumby Mabel Lake Snowmobile Association will be hosting a movie night at the Vernon Towne Cinema Thursday, Nov. 10, featuring Braaap 16 & Trax. Sponsored by BDM Motorsports, the evening admission is by donation with all of the proceeds being donated to Vernon Search and Rescue. There will also be door prizes and yearly memberships available for purchase.

“We are really looking forward to this event and hope to get a great turnout to help our local Search and Rescue,” said Liane Leger, director with the Lumby Mabel Lake Snowmobile Association.

Trax begins at 7 p.m. followed by a 15 minute intermission with door prize draws and a safety talk from Vernon Search and Rescue. Then the big screen will feature BRAAAP 16 at 8 p.m.
