With Vernon’s outdoor market closing for the season Monday, a new market is moving indoors for the winter.
The Vernon Indoor Winter Market gets underway Nov. 7, and it runs every Wednesday from 2 to 6 p.m. in the Wesbild Centre grand room.
“We have 30 vendors on board as of right now – and two more to confirm,” said Lynn Piva, organizer of the market which has the slogan ‘The very best of the best.’
“The response of vendors to this market has just been overwhelming.”
The market will include everything from fruits, veggies, eggs and juices to sauces, preserves, baked goods and local meat. But there will also be lotions and potions, knitted creations, jewelry, bird feeders, recycled and reclaimed wear, and much more.
“Come on out and support your market,” said Piva.
For more information, vendors can call Lynn Piva at 250-573-4549 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Vernon Farmers Market (which is not associated with the winter market) hosts its annual Christmas market at the Vernon Recreation Complex Nov. 8 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is free but donations to the Salvation Army food bank and Kiss FM Santa Toy Club are welcome.
